Broadside cottage is a 3 bedroom semi-detached property that sleeps 6. It is situated in a very desirable quiet location of the very popular seaside town of Sheringham on the North Norfolk Coast. It has a spacious, light and airy holiday home feel and is in walking distance from the beach and the High Street.
Once inside the white-walled property you enter the hallway with the fully re-fitted modern kitchen straight ahead the largely combined lounge diner to the right and stairs to the left.
The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave and plenty of preparation space. There is a large window looking out onto the rear garden and a door that opens onto the rear patio too, ideal for al-fresco food delivery.
The combined lounge diner is the whole depth of the house with a floor to ceiling bay window to the front and French doors opening out onto the patio at the rear making the space light and airy. The lounge area has 3 leather sofas, Sky free-sat, Flat-screen TV, and DVD player. The dining area has a 6 seater table and a large side-board holding plenty of glasses, cutlery and crockery.
Halfway up the stairs is a W.C. with wash basin.
ON the top floor there are 3 bedrooms, a double room with double bed, wardrobe, drawers, a twin room with twin singles, wardrobe and a bunk bedded room with small wardrobe.
The family bathroom on the upper floor has a shower basin and W.C.
Outside and garden
The front of the house is laid to lawn surrounded by high hedges and a drive large enough for two vehicles.
There is a gated path to the side of the house that leads to a private rear patio with a round glass topped table that seats 6. The patio has steps leading down from it to a good sized grass lawn and mature shrubs/fruit trees.
The coastal town of Sheringham is one of, if not the premier North Norfolk seaside town. The town has amenities aplenty and positively encourages activities and events throughout the year to include and encourage visitors and locals alike. The town has local shops and a Tesco store on the coast road.
On the edge of town, there is a Wave Pool and gym (Splash) together with a skateboarding park.
The beach is excellent with both pebbles and sandy areas. There are walks along the length of the beachfront, a small working dry fishing harbour to see and the beachfront Life-boat museum is a great place to visit as are the pubs and restaurants that look out to sea.
Throughout the year many Sheringham venues have live music events and there are a plethora of shops and eateries to keep everyone’s tastes happy.
The local (next door) Beeston bump to the East makes a great walk to a high vantage point close by to view the coast and inland areas around.
Close by to the East are West Runton (fossil finding beach and Beach Cafe), East Runton (Beach and Cafe) and Cromer (Crabbing on the pier, Go-Kart track, shopping, large Morrisons supermarket and End of Pier show). Close by to the West are Salthouse, Cley, Blakeney (Seal viewing trips and Crabbing) and Morston (National Trust area and Seal viewing Trips by boat).
Further afield to the West are Wells Next the Sea, Stiffkey, Burnham Overy Staithe, Brancaster Staithe, Hunstanton and Heacham.
Norwich is a 35-minute drive away, Kings Lynn 60 minutes away, and Wroxham on The Norfolk Broads 30 minutes away. Sandringham House, Blickling and Holkham estates are all great days out too.
